Even at the best of times, when jobs are easy to come by, it isn't always easy to choose a career. This is often because careers advice is thin on the ground and much too general when it is available. When I was at school, careers advice was almost non-existant and it seems provision for today's young people isn't any better:

Youth Unemployment in the USA
Yesterday we had a look at some of the projects set up to deal with the massive problem of youth unemployment in Europe. Today we turn to the USA, to look at the prospects for young people there and some of the schemes which are aimed at helping them.

What Can Be Done About Youth Unemployment?
With unemployment a major problem in both Europe and the US, what are the prospects for young people? Having been on a couple of government schemes in my own youth, I'm interested to see what is on offer to help young people who are caught up in the present economic crisis.
